Chiquita Banana
2018
In 2018 Adrienne created the series Chiquita Banana. The works in the series draw from her experience of the vibrant cultures of Los Angeles, and they were on view in 2019 at The Salon at the Wings Los Angeles location. In an elegant and graceful manner, her subjects were depicted in a soft style that has its roots in the aesthetics of editorial fashion. By surrounding her subjects with the fruits commonly sold on the street in LA, Adrienne hopes to reflect the vulnerability and the sweetness of women of color who are often connected to the ubiquitous sale of these exotic fruits.
